Application Selling - Overview

You have the possibility to publish app versions to the global IE Marketplace and making your app versions purchasable for other consumers. For this, the "App Seller" role is required. To receive the "App Seller" role, you must contact the Industrial Edge Ecosystem. The Industrial Edge Ecosystem assigns the role to your hub. Any hub admin can assign this role afterwards to any member of this hub. After you have received the role, the "Application Selling" menu item is enabled for you in the IE Hub. To display the menu item, log out and log in again to the IE Hub. In the "Application Selling" menu item, you publish app versions to the global IE Marketplace by licensing it through Siemens Digital Exchange (DEX).

Application selling is not available in China region currently.

Apps can have the following app status:

  • Ready for marketplace: Add marketplace information to publish your app to the IE Marketplace
  • Pending Approval: Industrial Edge Support checks the request
  • In Marketplace: App is in the IE Marketplace and purchasable for other consumers
