Issues Troubleshooting
In case several apps are being installed at the same time, it takes a while to reach the Edge Device UI. Wait for a while to reach the Edge Device UI.
Depending on the restart policies of the apps, the apps might not restart automatically after the reboot (includes also firmware update since it reboots the device). These apps should be manually started.
After network settings change from static IP to DHCP via Device UI, it takes a while to finalize the setting of new IP. Wait for a while to see the new IP settings.
If you set the IPs on the same subnet for network interfaces, one of the connections may be broken. Do not set more than one IP on the same subnet.
A warning message is shown in the onboarding screen if there is not any NTP settings in the onboarding configuration. -
There is not any NTP server by default in SIMATIC IPC IED. The user should add the NTP server list during or after onboarding process.
NTP might not be set during onboarding process It is recommended to set NTP server via Edge UI before onboarding process.

Other Information The new base OS has been used to enable BX-21A Industrial Edge Device. Please be aware that initial releases may present some differences or missing features when compared to current device-specific builds from SIMATIC IPC Industrial Edge Device family.
