Industrial Edge Hub

  • App release notes in mail:** We are going to include an application's release notes directly in the update emails we send out if a new version has been released in the ecosystem. This will make it easier to stay informed about the latest changes and improvements.

Industrial Edge Management Pro/Cloud/Virtual

  • Installation guidance: Compatibility of apps: We are providing app partners with the possibility to define compatibility rules against other applications, or for their own application in case of an update. Before you install an application on a device, you will be informed or warned whether the app is compatible with other apps and the device, helping you to avoid potential issues.
  • New permissions concept for more fine-grained access control: We are introducing a more granular permissions concept. This will allow you to precisely define which user can perform which actions within Industrial Edge Management, enhancing security and control.
  • IEM Pro V2 Release: We are actively working on a new Industrial Edge Management Pro version. Please keep an eye out for upcoming release communications for all the exciting details and features of IEM Pro V2.
  • App EOL info in IEM: We are synchronizing the existing End-of-Life (EOL) information from the Industrial Edge Hub to Industrial Edge Management. This means users will be able to see directly within IEM if an application version is no longer supported, aiding in better application lifecycle management.
  • Transparency about security issues by providing Vulnerability Exploitability eXchange (VEX) files: To enhance transparency regarding security, we will provide Vulnerability Exploitability eXchange (VEX) files. These files will offer clearer insights into potential security issues, helping you to make informed decisions.

Industrial Edge Devices - Local FW update: A more robust firmware update mechanism is being introduced, which includes new capabilities such as local updates. This will provide more flexibility and resilience in managing your device firmware. - LTE Support: We are adding LTE support to devices. This will expand your device communication options and enable more versatile connectivity scenarios.
